Oceanit Chemical Engineer, Sumil Thapa, and Head of Marketing, Jay Andrews appeared on ThinkTech Hawaii’s ‘Likeable Science’ show last week. They joined host, Ethan Allen, to discuss the development history of HeatX surface treatment and how it is making a big impact in Hawai’i and is going global in 2019.
The 2019 NACE UAE Corrosion Conference was held from January 28-31 at the Etihad Towers in Abu Dhabi. The key topic was corrosion prevention and control as a critical issue for the future of development and industry in the Middle East and around the world. Oceanit’s presentation to the NACE Corrosion Conference attendees focused on heat exchangers as critical and costly pieces of equipment at energy production plants and refinery facilities.
The Global Carbon Project report states that the major driver of the 2018 increase was higher electricity demand worldwide, leading to more coal-burning – primarily by China and India as their economies grew and more oil used in transport. Emissions in China were up 4.7% and India by 6.3% year on year. However, almost all countries are contributing to the accelerating emission rates.
